Welcome! I’m Richard Kuo, a software architect and technology enthusiast located in the Bay Area.
This website exists to give people a quick and friendly way to understand what I’m all about. At the moment, that consists of my bio and a personal blog where I post about the thoughts of the day with a little touch of attitude.
I’m currently a Founding Engineer at Imgix, where I architected and designed the core rendering service that is serving billions of images per day to our customers.
Previously, I managed Encoding Operations at Netflix and worked at YouTube and Google as a Partner Technology Manager helping to scale the number of partners from just 4 to thousands. And before that, I was Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of SnapStream Media, makers of the award winning Beyond TV.
